*ADC URGES KOGI PEOPLE TO SUPPORT PARTY FOR GOOD GOVERNANCE*

The people of Kogi State have been called upon to support the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to ensure it takes over the affairs of the state. The chairman of the screening committee for the state Congress, Hon. Simon Atadoga, made the call when Hon. Tom Zakari appeared before the committee in Lokoja. Hon. Atadoga noted that if the party is voted into power, it will ensure good governance in the state, assuring that the party will take over the leadership of the country in next year's general election. He described Hon. Tom as a competent leader, stressing that if elected as the chairman, he would no doubt bring his wealth of experience to move the party forward. In a remark, the ADC chairmanship candidate for Kogi State chapter, Hon. The former governor who returned to Nigeria before the Salah celebration in March hosted large family members, friends and well wishers to mark this years Eid fitr celebration. Though , in his character of celebrating annual festivals, the former Kogi Governor who ruled for nine years uniquely and roundly was celebrated after his return from the United States for a routine business trip and routine check up . My attention has been drawn to certain interpretations being circulated on some online media platforms regarding my recent statement on the issue of the Senate and House of Representatives positions. For the sake of clarity and proper public understanding, I wish to respectfully and clearly restate the position as conveyed during the meeting with Olamaboro APC stakeholders. My statement was clear, unambiguous and straightforward: That Olamaboro is desirous of both the Senate seat and the House of Representatives seat. This position reflects the collective position of the stakeholders from our local government, which I had the privilege to communicate on behalf of the Honourable Commissioner. At no time did I state or suggest that the House of Representatives position had been conceded, surrendered, or exclusively reserved for Omala or any particular local government, individual, or group.
