:* "Tom Zakari Elected Kogi ADC Chairman, Pledges Transparency and Inclusiveness"



Former Federal House of Representatives member, Hon Tom Zakari, has been elected chairman of the Kogi State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC). Zakari was elected during the party's state congress in Lokoja.

In his acceptance speech, Zakari promised to lead the party with transparency, accountability, and fairness, assuring stakeholders of his commitment to drive the party's agenda. He emphasized the party's core values of hope, inclusiveness, and progress, and pledged to champion these values to better Kogi State.

Zakari appealed to party members to mobilize and energize their base to attract more supporters, and assured that he would reach out to all people of the state, bridging divides and building coalitions. He expressed gratitude to party members for their support and trust.

The former lawmaker assured that if the party is given the mandate to lead the state, it will focus on good governance, economic empowerment, quality education, and healthcare.

Zakari's election is seen as a boost to the party's hopes in Kogi State, and his leadership is expected to shape the party's strategy for future elections.

Ankpa, Kogi State - The people of Ankpa Local Government Area have pledged their support for Omala LGA's bid to represent Ankpa Federal Constituency at the National Assembly in the 2027 elections. This development was announced after a meeting between delegations from both LGAs in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.  The Ankpa delegation was led by Prof. Salisu Ogbo who doubles as the Vice Chancellor of Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba, agreed to support Omala LGA's quest for the House of Representatives seat in exchange for Omala's support for the Kogi East Senatorial District seat in the same 2027 National Assembly elections.
