Supporters Flood Royal Palace as APC Senatorial Hopeful, Erico, Meets Achadu Oko Attah

Thousands of supporters and well-wishers thronged the palace of the Prime Minister of the Igala Kingdom, the Achadu Oko Attah, His Royal Majesty Yusuf Atama Ameadaji II, as the All Progressives Congress (APC) Senatorial candidate for Kogi East, Chief Dr. Joseph Ameh Erico, paid a courtesy visit to the revered traditional ruler.

The atmosphere around the palace was electrifying as party faithful, youths, women groups and community leaders turned out in large numbers to welcome the APC standard-bearer, chanting slogans and expressing confidence in his leadership aspirations.

Speaking during the visit, Chief Erico assured the people of his commitment to unlocking the economic potential of Kogi East through the development of its vast mineral resources.

He said the abundant natural resources in Idah Federal Constituency, particularly the Ibaji Oil and Gas deposits, remain critical assets that could transform the fortunes of the area if properly harnessed.

“I am fully committed to supporting every effort that will bring meaningful development to our people,” Chief Erico said.

“The mineral resources in our land are God-given blessings. The Ibaji Oil and Gas project, in particular, has the capacity to create jobs, attract investment and stimulate economic growth across Kogi East and beyond.”

The APC Kogi East senatorial candidate stressed that his vision was to ensure that the people benefit directly from the wealth beneath their soil through strategic partnerships, investment opportunities and policies that encourage local participation.

He further pledged to work closely with traditional institutions, relevant government agencies and private investors to attract development projects to the district.

Responding, the Achadu Oko Attah, His Royal Majesty Yusuf Atama Ameadaji II, commended Chief Erico for the visit and urged political leaders to remain committed to initiatives that would improve the lives of ordinary citizens.

The royal father emphasized the need for peace, unity and purposeful leadership, noting that sustainable development can only thrive in an atmosphere of harmony.

He expressed optimism that the rich natural resources in the district could become a major driver of economic prosperity if properly developed and managed.

The visit ended with prayers for peace in Kogi State, the success of democratic institutions and continued development of the Igala Kingdom, as supporters continued to cheer the APC senatorial candidate and reaffirm their support for his political ambition.
