Kogi Will Move Forward, Says Chaplain of Public Service Christian Fellowship

The people of Kogi State have been assured of sustained progress and development, with a call on Christians and other residents to continue praying for the peace, growth and prosperity of the state.

The call was made by the Chaplain of the Kogi State Public Service Christian Fellowship (KSPSCF), Pastor Paul Funsho, during a special prayer session held on Sunday in Lokoja as part of activities marking the 2026 Civil Service Week.

Speaking on the topic, “Kogi Must Move Forward,” Pastor Funsho urged Christians to intensify their prayers for the state and support efforts aimed at promoting its overall development.

The Chaplain also appealed to the state government to continue to address the welfare needs of civil servants, particularly issues relating to leave bonuses, promotions and other outstanding entitlements.

Pastor Funsho commended the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for what he described as the prompt payment of workers’ salaries, urging him to sustain his administration’s commitment to effective leadership and workers’ welfare.
Also speaking, the Kogi State Head of Service, Hajiya Falilat Yusuf Musa, mni, said the 2026 Civil Service Week was an opportunity to remind civil servants across the state of the need for greater commitment, discipline and dedication to duty.

The Head of Service stated this in a message delivered on her behalf by the Permanent Secretary, REPA, and Chairman of the Forum of Permanent Secretaries in the state, Pastor Sunday Odeh.

Hajiya Falilat Yusuf Musa reaffirmed the commitment of the present administration under Governor Usman Ododo to the welfare and wellbeing of workers in the state.

She expressed appreciation to Governor Ododo for carrying civil servants along in the affairs of government and creating an environment that recognises their contributions to the development of the state.

The Head of Service, on behalf of the entire civil service, pledged the continued loyalty, commitment and dedication of workers to their statutory responsibilities and the overall development of Kogi State.

Boreholes Will Ease Water Burden in Ajaokuta Communities, Says Onu Igala Elect Dr. Obele*

The Onu Igala elect for Ganaja village, Chief Dr. Isa Obele, has described the construction of boreholes in Emiworo, Ganaja, Gadumo, and Malam Hassan Road by the Kogi State Government as a wonderful measure that will reduce the burden of accessing potable water for residents.
