KOGI ADC CONDEMNS UNPROVOKED ATTACK ON IT'S MEMBERS IN EJULE, OFU LGA - CALLS FOR ARREST OF PERPETRATORS

The Kogi State Chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) strongly condemns the barbaric and unprovoked attack by suspected political thugs on its members  in Ejule,Ofu Local Government Area.

A statement by the state chairman of the party,Hon Tom Zakari in Lokoja said their members were on a peaceful, lawful engagement with the people of Ejule when they were attacked, harassed, and their properties destroyed saying  our members sustained injuries and are currently receiving treatment.

He noted that the attack is not only an attack on ADC, but an attack on democracy, freedom of association, and the peace-loving people of Kogi State.

 He said the ADC believe in issue-based politics, not violence.

He therefore called for the following:

1.  The Commissioner ofa Police, Kogi State Command, and the Director of DSS toa immediately investigate thisa incident and bring thea perpetrators and their sponsors to book.
2.  The Resident Electoral Commissioner and othera security agencies to take note of this growing intimidation againsta opposition parties in Kogia East.
3.  Our members across the state to remain calm, law-abiding, and not resort to reprisal as they are a party of peace.

According to him they will not be intimidated as no amount of thuggery will stop the resolve of Kogites who have chosen ADC as the vehicle to rescue our statea and nation.
He thanked the people of Ejule for their courage and support .

Boreholes Will Ease Water Burden in Ajaokuta Communities, Says Onu Igala Elect Dr. Obele*

The Onu Igala elect for Ganaja village, Chief Dr. Isa Obele, has described the construction of boreholes in Emiworo, Ganaja, Gadumo, and Malam Hassan Road by the Kogi State Government as a wonderful measure that will reduce the burden of accessing potable water for residents.
