Yoruba Community in Kogi Backs Tinubu, Ododo for 2027 as Oba Bello Audu ,Oke -Owoniboy Gets First-Class Elevation*

 — The Oba of  Yorubas in Kogi State, *His Royal Highness, Oba Bello Audu, Oke-Owoniboy*, has expressed gratitude to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for elevating his stool to first-class status.

Speaking with journalists in Lokoja, the monarch described the elevation on 4th July 2026 as a clear demonstration of the governor’s love for the Yoruba people in the state.

“I am overwhelmed with joy. My Yoruba community, my brothers and sisters, my wives, children and grandchildren are happy for this magnanimity,” Oba Audu said. 

He described the governor as an ebullient, pragmatic, patriotic, dedicated, humble, able, amiable and kind-hearted Leader , saying he. is the Jagomolu of Yoruba Kingdom.
He prayed for God’s protection and guidance upon the governor and his family, and thanked First Lady *Hajia Sefinat Ododo* as well. as the entire cabinet of the Governor for "doing the right thing at the right time.”

Assessing the governor’s three years in office, the Oba said Kogi has witnessed “years of progress, years of upliftment,” citing projects in Lokoja metropolis, Army Barrack Road, State House of Assembly Road and other ongoing structures across the three senatorial districts.

He described the elevation as proof that Gov. Ododo is a detribalized leader who treats all residents as one. 

Oba Audu noted that the recognition has further strengthened unity and peaceful coexistence among ethnic groups in Kogi, saying the governor’s inclusive policies have made non-indigenes feel a strong sense of belonging and pride in the state.

He urged the Yoruba community in Kogi, both young and old, to give their unalloyed support to the administration and to vote for the governor in 2027 “to show our gratitude... that we are not second class citizens. We are first class citizens in Kogi.”

The monarch also pledged the community’s support for *President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu* in 2027, saying the Yoruba in Kogi will troop out en masse to vote APC for a landslide victory.

He prayed for God's guidance and protection. for the Governor as he pilots the affairs of the state to the promised Land .
The. Monarch also used the opportunity to pray for the late father of. the Governor,, praying to Allah. to. grant him Janna.

Boreholes Will Ease Water Burden in Ajaokuta Communities, Says Onu Igala Elect Dr. Obele*
