VC Ogbo Says PAAU Enforcing Master Plan, Commends Stakeholders for Supporting University’s Growth.
The Vice Chancellor of Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba, Professor Salisu Ogbo Usman, has reaffirmed the commitment of his administration to upholding the university’s master plan and driving institutional development.
Speaking during a courtesy visit by a former member of the Governing Council, Comrade Alhaji Ali Atabor, and the Publisher of Online Newsnowexpress, Alhaji Husseini Abubakar, the Vice Chancellor said the university is focused on order, discipline, and proper planning. He noted that one of the major steps taken by the current management was the relocation of indiscriminate shop allocations that had turned parts of the campus into a market.
According to him, the shops have now been moved to a designated market area in line with the university’s master plan. “What you see us doing is enforcing the master plan while some people are distorting it. Those who are distorting the master plan are crying that we are stepping on their toes, whereas we are only asking them to obey the laws of the university,” Prof. Ogbo stated. He described the decision as courageous and necessary for the long-term development and aesthetics of the institution.
The Vice Chancellor further stressed that leadership requires taking firm decisions in the interest of the university, adding that his administration will continue to prioritize policies that protect the integrity of the institution. He appreciated stakeholders, including former council members and media partners, for their continued support and advocacy for the progress of PAAU.
Prof. Ogbo assured that the university remains committed to academic excellence, infrastructural development, and creating an environment conducive for teaching, learning, and research. He called on all members of the university community and well-wishers to key into the vision of building a university that reflects order, professionalism, and service to Kogi State and Nigeria.
