* Frontier Club Extends ₦10,000 Cash Relief to each Ochipu IDPs in Dekina, Seeks Broader Support for Bandit Victims*

DEKINA — The *Frontier Club of Nigeria* has donated ₦10,000 cash assistance to each displaced resident of Ochipu Community, Dekina LGA, who are currently taking refuge in Dekina Town following a recent bandit attack.

The delegation, led by Prof. Danladi Musa who represented the Club Chairman, Dr. Yahaya Husseini and Ahmadu Akoh among other members, first payed a courtesy visit to the *Achema/District Head of Dekina, HRH Alhaji Chief Ismaila Husseini Eiji*, before proceeding to the distribution venue.

Speaking at the palace, Prof. Musa said the visit was to identify and empathize with victims of the Ochipu crisis.  
“We are here today because we cannot ignore the suffering of our brothers and sisters displaced from Ochipu. What we are offering may not solve all their challenges, but it will provide some relief and remind them that they are not alone,” he said.  
He added that the club will intensify advocacy for peace and appeal to corporate bodies, philanthropists and government to support the IDPs so they can rebuild their lives.

The Achema of Dekina commended the club for its compassion and prayed for God’s continued blessings on the members. He called on other organizations and governments at all levels to come to the aid of displaced persons.

At the outreach venue, the team met beneficiaries alongside *Alhaji Tijani Audu*, Dekina Community Leader, and *Hon. Salihu Muhammad*, who represented Dekina LGA Chairman, *Hon. John Urah Ikani*.

Prof. Musa gave a brief history of the Frontier Club, noting it was founded in the 1980s as a humanitarian organization serving Igala and Bassa land. Over the years, he said, the club has donated to hospitals, the Dekina LGA Library, supported NDLEA drug abuse campaigns, awarded scholarships, and executed several health and education interventions.

Hon. Muhammad, speaking on behalf of the council chairman, described the gesture as “genuine love and community service” and urged other well-meaning Nigerians to emulate the club.

Also speaking, Alhaji Tijani Audu thanked the club for remembering Ochipu victims in their time of need, saying the support had brought relief and renewed hope. He appealed for more assistance as many victims still need help to resettle.

Beneficiaries expressed appreciation and prayed for the club, describing the ₦10,000 cash support as timely.

The event ended with renewed commitment by Frontier Club to humanitarian service, peace-building and community development across Kogi State.
