Burial Set for Friday: Retired Warrant Officer Augustine Yakubu Oyibo, 78, to be Laid to Rest July 3 in Ayingba*



The family of late *Warrant Officer Augustine Yakubu Oyibo (Rtd)* has released final funeral arrangements ahead of his burial on *Friday, July 3, 2026*, in his hometown of Agala-Ate, Ayingba, Kogi State.

WO Oyibo (Rtd) passed away peacefully on *June 5, 2026*, at the age of 78. He was described by family and associates as a disciplined patriot, a man of faith, and a devoted family man. He was also the father of *Mr. Johnson Oyibo*, former Transport Officer, Kogi State Government House, Lokoja.

A career soldier, the late WO Oyibo served the nation meritoriously before retirement. He will be remembered for his integrity, humility, and commitment to community values. Until his passing, he remained a respected elder and mentor in Lokongoma, Lokoja, and Agala-Ate, Ayingba.

*FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS*
The family invites friends, relatives, and well-wishers to join in celebrating his life and legacy:

- *Monday, June 29 – Wednesday, July 00 1, 2026 | 4:00 PM Daily*  
  Rosary Procession at his residence: GP 182, Flat 6, Lokongoma Phase 1, Lokoja, Kogi State.

- *Thursday, July 2, 2026 | 5:00 PM*  
  Requiem Mass at St. Francis Catholic Church, Lokongoma Phase 1, Lokoja.  
  _Vigil follows immediately at the deceased’s residence._

- *Friday, July 3, 2026 | 11:00 AM*  
  Funeral Mass at SS Perpetua and Felicity Parish, Agala-Ate, Ayingba.  
  _Interment follows immediately at his compound, Ogbajele Avenue, Agala-Ate, Ayingba, Dekina LGA._

The family thanked all for condolences and prayers, saying his life was a testament to duty, faith, and love for humanity.

He is survived by children, grandchildren, and other relatives. _May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace._

Boreholes Will Ease Water Burden in Ajaokuta Communities, Says Onu Igala Elect Dr. Obele*

The Onu Igala elect for Ganaja village, Chief Dr. Isa Obele, has described the construction of boreholes in Emiworo, Ganaja, Gadumo, and Malam Hassan Road by the Kogi State Government as a wonderful measure that will reduce the burden of accessing potable water for residents.
