Ajaokuta North Finds Its Voice: Abubakar Bala Isah of NDC Vows Effective Representation, Youth Empowerment and Accountability"*

"
*AJAOKUTA, Kogi State— The people of Ajaokuta North Constituency say they have found a worthy son to represent them at the Kogi State House of Assembly. That son is *Hon. Abubakar Bala Isah*, the candidate of the *Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC*, who is campaigning on a platform of service, legislation, and grassroots development.

For months, stakeholders, youth groups, women associations, and traditional leaders across Ajaokuta North have been in consultations. Their conclusion is unanimous: the constituency needs a representative who understands the people’s pains
and can translate their needs into laws and projects. In Hon. Abubakar Bala Isah, they say they have found that leader.

Addressing some of his supporters at a meeting , Hon. Isah outlined his vision under the banner *"Effective Representation, Quality Legislation."* He pledged that if elected, his first duty would be to be the voice of Ajaokuta North at the floor of the Kogi State House of Assembly. "I will not go there to warm a seat," he said. "I will go there to speak for the farmers and peasants.

A major pillar of his campaign is *Youth Empowerment*. Hon. Isah noted that Ajaokuta North has one of the largest youth populations in the state, yet many remain unemployed and without skills. He promised to sponsor bills and motions that will attract skill acquisition centers, ICT training hubs, and agricultural support programs to the constituency. "Our youths are not the problem. They are the solution. What they need is opportunity," he declared.

On *Infrastructure Development*, the NDC candidate said the roads, schools, and health centers in Ajaokuta North require urgent attention. He cited the deplorable state of rural roads that make it difficult for farmers to move their produce to market. Hon. Isah promised to work with the executive arm to ensure constituency projects are not just on paper, but are seen and felt in every ward.

The issue of *Accountability and Transparency* also featured prominently in his message. Hon. Isah told his people that he will run an open-door representation. "Every quarter, I will come back home to give account of what I did at the Assembly. The budget for our constituency will be made public. The people must know how their money is being used," he assured.
