"Sabua Cares Foundation Founder Chief Dr. Sabua Rekiya Isa To Receive Global Philanthropy Award In Lokoja"*


Advocacy For Youth Leadership in Governance, Nigeria (AYLGN) will confer its Proficiency Management Leadership Global Award on Chief Dr. Sabua Rekiya Isa, Chairman and Founder of Sabua Care Foundation, USA, at a ceremony in Lokoja. 
 The organization described Dr. Isa, popularly known as “Ebule Attah Igala” USA, as the “Most Outstanding, Competent, Quintessential, Resourceful, Experienced, Renowned & Digital Philanthropist in the 21st Century.”

In a nomination letter signed by National President Comrade Ajinomoh Abiodun, Mnin, and Secretary General Comrade Ajayi Nike Grace, AYLGN said the award followed a joint resolution of its Board of Directors and Executive Council after a critical assessment of Chief Dr. Isa’s professional career, public service, and humanitarian impact. The group cited her “sterling track record, efficient and effective result-oriented contributions to society through modern innovation,” as well as her “strong character, integrity, charisma, and authentic leadership skills” in building teamwork and driving development. AYLGN further lauded her as a “trans-generational philanthropist of international standard” with global recognition in youth development and peace promotion.

The award ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, 9th June, 2026, at Karomsi Hotel & Garden, Lokoja, Kogi State, beginning at 11:00am prompt. AYLGN, whose motto is “Building Youth for Leadership,” congratulated Chief Dr. Isa, stating that her hard work, administrative dexterity, and zeal have earned her the prestigious and meritorious award of excellence.

*Kogi Mourns the Loss of an Astute and Vibrant Academician, Dr. Friday Odekina Friday, Finally Goes Home, Adieu*

The funeral mass for the late Dr. Odekina Friday Odekina an astute and vibrant academician who died recently is about now  being held at the Saint Boniface Catholic Cathedral in Idah, Kogi State, beginning at 10:00 AM. A requiem mass was also held yesterday at his residence at No. 20 GRA Extension, Iyogbo-Idah, in Kogi State. Born on June 6, 1969, Dr. Odekina Friday Odekina passed away on June 25, 2025, at the age of 56. He is survived by his wife, children, brothers, sisters, and relatives. Today, Dr. Odekina will be laid to rest in Idah, Kogi State, bringing closure to a chapter in the lives of those who loved him. May his soul rest in peace, and may his family find solace in the love and support of friends and well-wishers during this difficult time. May God grant him eternal rest. Hassan Abubàkar -Editor.
