Kogi state Wing of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) has felicitated with Christians on the occasion of Esther celebration. 

Chairman of the Union, comrade Abayomi Ayoola in a   statement made available to newsmen in Lokoja on behalf of the Executives and members of the Union wish kogites a fulfilled celebration.

The statement urged teachers to use the occasion to reflect on the passion of Christ and live a sacrificial life for the benefit of mankind.

Comrade Ayoola congratulated Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, the state Commissioner for Education Mr Wemi Jones and other cabinet members on the occasion and prayed for sound judgement to make Kogi and reference point in positive dimensions.

He specifically praised Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for approving the promotions of teachers across boards which he described as a huge relief to workers struggling with finance amidst inflation and basic demands.

The unionist urged teachers to more dedicated and take pride in the fact that their efforts can always shape the future and make   the country a better place for living 

He also urged christians to engage in sober reflection on the occasion and engage in charitable works to appreciate Christ who willingly laid down his life for man's redemption.

Ankpa, Kogi State - The people of Ankpa Local Government Area have pledged their support for Omala LGA's bid to represent Ankpa Federal Constituency at the National Assembly in the 2027 elections.
