*Enrico Takes 2027 Senate Bid to Idah Federal Constituency ,Seeks Monarchs’ Blessings, Rallies Party Leaders*

Chief Dr. Joseph Ameh Enrico on Saturday, April 25, 2026, took his Kogi East Senate consultation train to Idah Federal Constituency, meeting top Igala monarchs to seek royal blessings over his ambition and securing key endorsements from APC stakeholders and a major women’s group. The move is in furtherance of his tour to rally support for his 2027 senatorial bid under the APC.

The Senatorial Aspirant began the day by paying homage to traditional rulers across the federal constituency to seek their royal blessings over his aspiration. He first visited the Eje of Ofu, Chief Aku Obaje, and the Etemahi Igalamela/Odolu Local Government Area, Chief Boniface Adejo at Ajaka. He also paid homage to the Eje Ibaji, Chief John Egwemi, before making his final stop in Idah to pay homage to the Attah Igala and meet critical stakeholders.,

Chief Enrico arrived at the venue of the stakeholders’ engagement at Qua Iboe Primary School Field, Idah, to a tumultuous welcome from a large crowd that turned out to receive him. Addressing the gathering, he expressed satisfaction with the love shown by the people of Idah Federal Constituency for his Senate ambition.

He urged them to fully support the re-election of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the next general elections. “My mission to seek the Senate seat for Kogi East is born out of the need to improve the lives of our people in all sectors,” he said.

Chief Enrico called on residents to back the APC at the national, state, local, and ward levels to enjoy the dividends of democracy. He appealed to APC stakeholders to support his aspiration, insisting he has the capacity to turn things around in Kogi East if given the mandate.

“The people deserve better and qualitative representation, which I am ready to provide,” he said. He urged the people to join the APC and avoid deception, stressing that Kogi East cannot afford to be in the opposition.

Speaking at the event, the Kogi East Zonal Chairman of the APC, Hon. Ogwu Alhassan, noted with satisfaction the support of the people for the party. He prayed that whoever emerges from the primaries would receive full party backing to become victorious, and wished Chief Dr. Joseph Ameh Enrico success in his bid.

In a major boost, a women’s organization known as FAWAZ, in its goodwill message, endorsed Chief Dr. Joseph Ameh Enrico as its sole senatorial candidate for Kogi East. The spokeswoman of the body noted with satisfaction the achievements of Chief Dr. Enrico which have endeared him to the people, assuring that “every woman in Kogi East must key into the Enrico Kogi East Senatorial project.”

All the Chairmen of the APC in Idah, Ibaji, Igalamela/Odolu, and Ofu Local Government Areas, in their separate remarks, eulogized Chief Dr. Enrico. Other stakeholders who gave goodwill messages included the Executive Chairmen of the four Local Government Areas in Idah Federal Constituency.

Also speaking, a former Kogi East Zonal Chairman of the APC, Alh. Alfa, urged all and sundry to adopt Chief Dr. Joseph Ameh Enrico as their sole candidate.
