*ANKPA, Nigeria, April 27, 2026* — Kogi East APC Senatorial Aspirant, Chief Dr. Joseph Ameh Enrico, on Sunday called on voters in Ankpa Federal Constituency to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for a second term, saying it would keep Kogi East in the mainstream of national politics.
Chief Dr. Enrico made the call while addressing a cross-section of APC executives, members, stakeholders, and supporters at the Ankpa Township Stadium as part of his ongoing consultations for the 2027 Kogi East senatorial seat.
He said Governor Ododo deserves a second term because his “uncommon leadership” has endeared him to the people of the state.
Enrico thanked the mammoth crowd that trooped out to welcome him, noting that the large turnout was a clear demonstration of support for his ambition. He promised not to disappoint the people if given the mandate.
Also speaking, the Executive Chairman of Ankpa Local Government described the APC as a united family. He stressed that whoever emerges from the primaries should receive full support from all members.
The Chairman urged aspirants to caution their supporters against making negative comments capable of causing disunity, warning that such actions could make the general election difficult for the party.
APC Chairmen from the three local government areas in the federal constituency — Ankpa, Omala, and Olamaboro — also spoke at the event and wished Dr. Enrico success in his aspiration.
The leader of the FAWAZ Women Organization in Kogi East told the gathering that all members of the group have keyed into the Dr. Joseph Ameh Enrico senatorial project.
Former Kogi East Zonal Chairman of the APC, Alh. Alfa, said he has personally adopted Enrico’s senatorial ambition as his own project and urged others to do the same.
