*A TESTAMENT OF IMPACT: OMALA INDIASPORA COMMENDS TRANSFORMATIVE LEADERSHIP AND GRASSROOTS DEVELOPMENT IN OMALA LGA*



Omala Indiaspora proudly witnessed and participated in the commissioning of impactful constituency projects facilitated by Hon. Umar Yahaya (Connect), Member representing Omala State Constituency, in a landmark event held across key communities in Omala Local Government Area.

The commissioning ceremony, performed on behalf of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, by the Deputy Governor, Comrade Joel Salifu Oyibo, reaffirmed the administration’s unwavering commitment to grassroots development, security enhancement, and inclusive governance.

In his address, the Deputy Governor emphasized that sustainable peace and development remain anchored on unity, cooperation, and continued support from the people. He reiterated that security remains a top priority of the state government, highlighting strategic interventions such as the establishment of a Forward Operations Base in Bagana and the strengthening of local security architecture.

The projects commissioned reflect a clear demonstration of responsive and people-centered representation. These include:

Motorized boreholes in Ofejiji, Ódó, and Egbachi communities to enhance access to potable water

The Ibado-Akpacha Police Station to strengthen community security

Provision of motorcycles to security agencies to improve rapid response and operational mobility

These interventions are timely, impactful, and directly aligned with the needs of the people.

Omala Indiaspora notes with satisfaction the consistent efforts of Hon. Umar Yahaya, whose proactive leadership and dedication to service continue to deliver measurable dividends of democracy. His commitment to fulfilling campaign promises and prioritizing community welfare stands as a model of effective representation.

We also acknowledge the commendations by the Executive Chairman of Omala LGA, Hon. Mark Edibo, and the Onuh Ife/Chairman of the Omala Traditional Council, Chief Boniface Musa, both of whom described the projects as significant milestones in the development trajectory of the local government.

*ANKPA LGA APC STAKEHOLDERS RESOLVE TO SUPPORT OMALA'S HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES BID IN 2027*

Ankpa, Kogi State - The people of Ankpa Local Government Area have pledged their support for Omala LGA's bid to represent Ankpa Federal Constituency at the National Assembly in the 2027 elections. This development was announced after a meeting between delegations from both LGAs in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.  The Ankpa delegation was led by Prof. Salisu Ogbo who doubles as the Vice Chancellor of Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba, agreed to support Omala LGA's quest for the House of Representatives seat in exchange for Omala's support for the Kogi East Senatorial District seat in the same 2027 National Assembly elections.
