*OMALA LGA COURTS SISTER LGAs FOR 2027 ANKPA FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES SEAT.*

Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Omala Local Government Area of Kogi State, led by retired Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Abdulrahman Iyaji, have embarked on a diplomatic mission to garner support from sister LGAs, Ankpa and Olamaboro, for the House of Representatives seat in the 2027 elections. The delegation, comprising notable politicians and stakeholders, aims to secure consideration for Omala LGA, citing the area's disadvantaged position since 1979.

According to the group, Ankpa and Olamaboro LGAs have had multiple representations at the National Assembly, while Omala has only had one stint at the seat. The team met with leaders from Ankpa and Olamaboro, who praised their peaceful approach. The move aligns with Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo's policy of dialogue and consultation among political elites.

The delegation included Hon. Levi Atuluku, Hon. Commissioner of Transportation, Hon. Arome Alfa, Special Adviser to the Governor on Local Government Affairs, Chief James Baba, SSA to the Governor on Science and Technology, Hon. Dr. Aminu A. Atabo, SSA to the Governor on Vocational Education, Hon. Shehu Ogijo, APC Chairman, Omala LGA, Hon. Atabo Ocheje, Secretary of the APC in Omala LGA, and the APC Kogi East Zonal Women Leader, among others.

The leaders of Ankpa and Olamaboro LGAs expressed optimism that Omala's turn for the seat has come, promising to support their bid. They emphasized the need for unity and peaceful competition among the LGAs, ensuring the APC's victory in the 2027 elections.

AIG Abdulrahman Iyaji (rtd) thanked the leaders for their warm reception, reiterating Omala's commitment to the APC's success. The delegation's visit is seen as a significant step towards securing the House of Representatives seat for Omala LGA in 2027.

The visit is expected to strengthen inter-LGA relations and foster a sense of cooperation among the APC stakeholders in Ankpa Federal Constituency, ultimately contributing to the party's success in the 2027 elections.
