*Halims Distributes Palliatives for Lent, Ramadan, Urges Support for Tinubu, Ododo Ahead of 2027 Polls*

The Deputy Leader of the House of Representatives, Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali Halims, has distributed food items to constituents in Ankpa, Omala, and Olamaboro Federal Constituency, as part of his annual Ramadan outreach. The gesture, aimed at cushioning the effects of economic challenges, covered indigent residents, support groups, coalitions, and unions.
Halims urged constituents to sustain support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo ahead of the 2027 elections, citing improvements in governance and livelihood. He also encouraged eligible voters to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) in preparation for the elections.
The distribution included 1,500 bags of rice, 600 bags of beans, and other food items. Beneficiaries praised the intervention as timely and reflective of the true spirit of charity, pledging continued support for the lawmaker.
Speaking at the ceremony, Hon. Haruna Abdul, Senior Special Assistant to the Kogi State Governor, commended Halims for his generosity and commitment to the people. He described Halims' emergence as a principal officer of the National Assembly as a significant gain for the constituency.
The event featured endorsements of President Tinubu and Governor Ododo by various groups, who cited improvements in governance and livelihood. Halims' representatives stated that the gesture was aimed at promoting peace and unity among the people
