Those dealing with illicit drugs in Crusher Community have been warned to desist or face total eviction from the community.

Crusher community youths leader Mr Daudu Sunday gave the warning shortly after an enlarged meeting of the community leaders and youths in Lokoja.

Mr Sunday said the activities of drug peddlers have constituted security threat to the people of the community and warned that their activities will no longer be tolerated.

His words " there is a reported case of theft of tools brought to the Chairman. When investigation was conducted it was discovered that the stollen tools were in the custody of an alledged drug peddler. When the suspect was summon, who behave unruly and attacker constituted authority. Such unruly behavior can be attributed to drug usage and aftermath of abuse of drug."

He explained that several youths are trapped into drugs and under its influence commit crimes and constitute disturbance to the peace and stability of the area.

Similarly in his reaction, the community chairman, Mr George Mataga said the urgly situation has been tabled before appropriate authorities including the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency.

He affirmed that the community as a whole will resist any threat to peace and stability as well as actions that can undermine Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo's efforts in combating crime and criminalities.
