*Kogi CJ Unveils Enforcement Outfit Of The Directorate of Process, High Court of Justice*

The Chief Judge of Kogi State, Hon. Justice Josiah Majebi, has unveiled for public awareness, the enforcement outfit of the Directorate of Process of the High Court of Justice.

He unveiled the outfit to the public for avoidance of misconception when officers are out to discharge their duties against judgement debtors.

The move became necessary following the misconception of the public towards men and women of the enforcement department of the Court whenever they are on their legitimate duties.

Unveiling the new outfit with clearly inscribed name of the institution on both the T-shirt and fez cap, the CJ hinted that the era of misconceiving officers on legitimate functions under the pretext of ignorance was no longer tolerable going forward.

He said during the presentation at the judiciary headquarters that the initiative by the DCR in the Directorate, Samuel Salami Esq., couldn't have come at a better time when distinctive identification of law enforcement agents were required.

The Chief Judge reaffirmed his commitment to institutional reforms aimed at improving efficiency and continuity in the state's judiciary.

He said at the event that the decision to carve out the Process Unit from the Litigation Department and elevate it to a full Directorate has proven to be a sound policy choice, citing improved performance and professionalism. He noted that similar reforms across other Directorates have raised operational standards within the High Court.

He further stated that the introduction of Directorates, supervised by designated Judges, was designed to strengthen collaboration, enhance problem-solving, and ensure continuity in judicial administration. According to him, the structure allows Directorates to function independently while providing guidance where necessary.

Commending the leadership of the Process Directorate, the CJ praised its diligence, transparency, and resilience in carrying out demanding and risk-prone duties. He disclosed that petitions received against the Directorate had consistently failed to establish wrongdoings  and thereby reinforced his confidence in its leadership and staff.

The CJ further revealed that plans were on the way to establish additional Directorates, including  independent ICT and Security Directorates, subject to availability of funds, to further enhance court operations and strengthen internal security in the system.

He urged all departments to adopt distinctive initiatives that promote unity, professionalism and a strong sense of identity within and outside the judiciary.
