*"Nation Mourns: Dr. Halima Alfa Gaya Pays Tribute to Late President Buhari"
An All Progressive Congress stalwart from the Eastern Senatorial Districts of Kogi State, Hajiah Doctor Halima Alfa Gaya, has commiserated with Nigerians on the loss of the former President of the nation, Retired General Mohammadu Buhari.
Doctor Halima Alfa Gaya, in her condolence message made available to newsmen in Lokoja, described Buhari's death as a rude shock to the entire nation. She said late Buhari is a wonderful institution of study to her and other politicians in the democratic era and recalled the book titled "Buhari: The Spirit of a Man," which was launched in honor of him during the time of the All Nigerians Peoples Party (ANPP).
The former Governorship Aspirant also described the late President as one of those who gave meaning to democracy in the country through innovations that made individuals' votes count. She urged Nigerians to continue to imbibe his ideological principles of belonging to everyone and at the same time belonging to nobody, saying such a notion will promote peace, progress, and sincerity in governance.
Doctor Halima Alfa Gaya prayed for the peaceful repose of his soul and Allah's blessings on the current President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to be able to make the country a better place for all citizens. She urged Nigerians to guard against hostile criticism and pray for the success of leaders as patriotic citizens.
