*"Kogi Hausa Traders Association Holds Inauguration Ceremony"*



The Kogi State Branch of the Hausa Traders Association will tomorrow, Sunday, July 13, 2025, hold the formal inauguration of its newly elected Executive at the Amusement Park in Lokoja. According to a statement, the ceremony will commence at 10:30 am and will be chaired by the Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aliyu Yusuf Umar.

The Executive Chairman of Lokoja Local Government Area, Comrade Abdullahi Ademu, will serve as the Chief Host. Other dignitaries expected to attend include Hon. Suleiman Danlami Aguye, Member of the House of Representatives, who is billed as the core guest. Also in attendance are Kogi State Commissioners, Hon. Muktar Mohamed (Commissioner for Commerce and Industry) and Hon. Bashir Gegu (Commissioner for Solid Minerals Resources).

Other notable attendees include Hon. Idrees Aliyu and Hon. Tijani Ebaiya, Members of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hajia Momoh Gimba, Special Assistant to the Kogi State Governor on Market Women, and Engineer Sagir Abdulsalam, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture. The royal father of the day will be the Maigari of Lokoja, Alh Gambo Mohamed Kabir, while Hajia Marka will be the mother of the day.

Business tycoons expected at the event include Alh. Idris Saleh, Mr. Oladipo Temidayo Benjamin, Alhaji Yunusa Sani, Alhaji Bashir Haruna, and Alhaji Sanusi Paki. The event will also be attended by royal guests, including Alh Saleh Ademu Danladi, Sarkin Hausawa of Ebirra land, Alh Idi Alhasan, Sarkin Hausawa of Anyigba, Alh Nura Isah of Ganaja, and Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Bawa, Sarkin Kasuwa of Lokoja.

The inauguration ceremony promises to be a significant event, marking a new chapter in the history of the Kogi State Branch of the Hausa Traders Association. It is expected to bring together prominent figures from the world of politics, business, and royalty, showcasing the association's growing influence and importance in the region.
