Governor Ododo assures Hausa Traders of his administration's Support at Inauguration of new Executive *
The Kogi State Governor , Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has assured of his administration's support to Hausa Traders and other business ownership in the state.
The Governor made the promise in a message to the Inauguration of the New Executive of the Kogi state Branch of the Hausa Traders Association in Lokoja.
The Governor who was represented by the Kogi state commissioner for solid minerals resources, Hon. Bashir Gegu, 
expressed appreciation to the Association for it's significant contribution to the state's Internally Generated Revenue, which stands at over 40%. He emphasized the importance of unity, peace, and fraternity among traders, noting that the Association's formation serves as a model for other traders' unions to follow.

highlighted the previous administration's efforts in bringing together traders' associations, particularly under the leadership of former Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello, who successfully mediated conflicts between northern and southern traders. He assured of the current administration's continued support for traders, small-scale and medium-scale enterprises, farmers, miners, and market owners.
The Commissioner assured the Association that Governor Ododo would meet with them upon his return to the country, emphasizing the government's interest in interfacing with the traders' association. He noted that the Governor values the Association's contributions and would continue to support their endeavors.
" The government has created a conducive business environment, with security at 100%. Our infrastructure development is ongoing, and the government is committed to supporting traders.
I'd like to thank the organizers and contribute a token sum of N500,000 to support the Association .
He commended the body for demonstrating it's commitment to working together for the growth and development of the state.
The newly elected Chairman of the Hausa Traders Association, Mallam Aliyu Garba, expressed gratitude to members for entrusting him with the leadership role. He promised to initiate policies and programs that would positively impact members, commending Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for sending Hon. Bashir Gegu, Commissioner for Solid Minerals Resources, to represent him at the occasion.
The Association's Secretary, Mallam Abdulkadir Ibrahim, thanked guests for honoring their invitation and expressed commitment to supporting the state government's policies and programs.
In a separate interview, the President of the Kogi State Branch of the Igbo Association praised the peaceful conduct of the Hausa Traders Association's election and assured continued support for the new leadership.
Senator Alhaji Muhammad Lawal Garba, a senator of the Hausa Traders Association, expressed his thoughts on the importance of traders in the state.
"We need to appreciate the traders, who contribute significantly to the state's revenue. They are genuine and sincere in their deeds, and their presence helps inject sanity and development into the system," he said.
He emphasized the need for the government to support traders, noting that they are essential for revenue generation and economic growth. "The government should appreciate and support traders, as they play a vital role in the state's economy," he added.
Senator Garba also touched on the importance of working together with the government to ensure good governance and development in the state. "As a cabinet member, I will support the government to ensure that our state reaches a level of good governorship," he stated.
The senator's remarks highlighted the significance of traders in the state's economy and the need for government support to promote growth and development.
