CHAIRMEN, ASSOCIATION BOARD MEMBERS OF SPORTS SECTOR CHARGED TO WORK FOR THE GROWTH OF SPORTS SECTOR IN KOGI STATE

Stakeholders in the sports sector have been changed to work collectively towards the development of sporting activities in the state.
  
 Kogi State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Monday Anyebe gave the change during the inaguration of Kogi State sports Association Chairmen and Board members at the confluence stadium in Lokoja.
 
Hon. Monday Anyebe advised the various sports Associations and board members to be more commited to ensure the progress of the sporting activities in the state.
 
According to him, their appointments was in line with the present administration's policies and programmes, changing them to see their appointment as an opportunity to serve the sports sector better.

 Hon. Monday Anyebe said the present administration under Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo is committed to the growth and progress of the state, saying sports is not an exception.

The Commissioner warned against rumours among themselves and urged them to continue to be united and serve with total passion at all times.
  
Also speaking the Director sports Council, Mr. Abel James said the inaguration of the sports Association and board members was a welcome development especially under the present leadership in the Ministry.
  
Responding on behalf of the sports Association and board members, Alhaji Jibrin Seidu Oji assured Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo and the state Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development Hon Monday Anyebe  of their commitment to ensure sporting activities in kogi State soar higher and be recognized world wide during their tenure.
  
Alhaji Jibrin Seidu Oji who is also the Kogi State Chairman of the Handball Association thanked Kogi State Government and the state Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development for the opportunity given to them to serve and promised not to let them down.

Accompanied by the Commissioner at the event where the Acting Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Mallam Itodo Yusuf, the Director sports development of the Ministry, Mr. Aje Paul among others.

Over twenty one sports Associations and board members were inaugurated.
