It was a celebration galore in Crusher community in Lokoja, Kogi State as the Chairman of the community, Engineer George Mataga marks the thanks giving and birthday celebration of his daughter.

Friends and family from across the country and beyond grace the occasion in various cultural attires dipicting the peculiarities of their  ancestral homes.

Speaking during the event,  the chairman of the occasion who is also the Public Relation Officer of the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company ( AEDC)  Mr Segun Mohmoh said he was forced to communicate in English language after careful thought of of the personalty of the Crusher chairman Engineer Mataga whom he described as a humble  politician of high pedigree.

Mohmoh appreciated the the recognition bestowed on him as the Chairman of the occasion  noting that he was overwhelmed by the thoughtfulness of the elders at the occasion.

He also thanked various chiefs and traditional rulers that grace the occasion and praised the immediate past Governor of the State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and his successor  Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for maintaining peace and orderliness in the state.

In a remark, a well-wisher from the Government House,  Honourable Saka described Mataga as humility personified saying he has successfully carried along everybody in the  community.

Saka noted that the current wife of Mataga has wiped his tears away due loss of  his former wife.

He prayed for the child to become a role model and blessing to her generation and urged Crusher community to continue to pray for the family.

In his vote of thanks,  the community chairman, Engineer Mataga thanked friends and well-wishers for their presence and urged the community to continue to be united for common purpose.

He appealed to them to be security councious, have faith in Ododo led administration emphasizing that there is more to gain in belonging to the mainstream of governance.

The occasion which attracted eminent personalities including  Koto - Karfi,  Ebira, Oworo, Bassa, Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo and other traditional Chiefs also feature dancing competition and other cultural display.
