*New Head Coach of Kogi United Assumes Office, Promises Discipline and Excellence*

The new Head Coach of Kogi United, Mr. Gilbert Opana, has assumed office with a clear mandate to avoid nepotism and favoritism among players. This charge was given by the State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Aridaojo Monday Anyebe, while receiving the Head Coach and his team in his office in Lokoja.

Hon. Anyebe advised the new coach to work with a free hand, emphasizing that the sports-loving community in the state expects him to take the club to both national and international heights. The commissioner noted that the present administration, under Governor Ahmed Usman, has a strong passion for sporting activities in the state and urged the new coach to make the state proud of his assignment.

The Commissioner congratulated Mr. Opana on his appointment and assured him of his readiness to partner with him to move the club forward. In response, Mr. Opana assured the commissioner of his commitment and dedication to duty, promising to do everything possible to take the club higher.

Mr. Opana thanked the Commissioner for his zeal and dedication to the growth of sports and youth development in the state, promising not to let him down. The chairman of Kogi United, Hon. Abdullahi Isah Dolly, was present at the event, accompanied by some technical team members.
