*"Kogi Health Officer Calls for Scrutiny of Primary Health Care Projects Agreement"*

The Officer in charge of the Primary Health Care Lokongoma, Kogi State, Mrs Ibrahim Ele has called for proper scrutiny  of the agreement between the state government and contractors handling the Primary Health Care projects across the twenty one local government areas.

Mrs Ibrahim who made the call in an interview with newsmen in Lokoja commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo on his various interventions in the health sector and appealed to stakeholders to support the dream by putting the interest of the peoples above other frivolities.

She explained that, apart from the facelifting of the structures, the contractor had earlier promised to provide solar power system as well as borehole which are crucial to their daily operations.

The Officer in charge of the Health Care  Centre however expressed worry over the dimensions of things noting that the contractor complained of puncity of funds when the issue of alternative energy and water sources were recently raised.

She also complained that the old doors formerly removed were replaced back to cut down cost emphasizing that staff of the Health Care Centre who were earlier elated by the renovation had reclined to a depressive mode due to the negligence of major facilities needed by the establishment.

Mrs Ibrahim maintained that the project which commenced last year December is still going on and expressed hope for respect for earlier agreement.

She also passionately appealed for a reliable water source to operate the facility to avoid the continuous purchase of water from hawkers popularly known as 'Meiruwa'
