*Kogi Fire Agency Chief Calls for Electrical Pole Rearrangement After Pensioners' Office Fire*


 Kogi State Acting Director of the Fire Agency, Mr Salau Ozigi Umar has called for the rearrangement of electrical poles at Zone right round about  to avert damages occasioned by bridge in current.

Mr Umar gave the advice  while reacting to the fire incidence that gutted the  office of the Kogi State chapter of the Nigeria Union of Pensioners.

The Director of fire agency said the electrical poles in the area are badly connected, leading to bridge of current due to winds and other phenomenon.

He appealed to the people of the area to take the advise seriously, warning that high tension wire can spark up disaster beyond human comprehension.

Mr Umar also advised the people of the state to always switch off electrical appliances when not in use, emphasizing that such attitude can curb disaster associated with high current and other defaults.

Reacting to the situation,  a staff of the council who spoke on the condition of anonimity said the fire incidence occured when the staff had already vacated the office premises.

He disclosed that over four million naira worth of facilities have been destroyed in the inferno
