HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY 2025



On this International Women’s Day 2025, we at Confluence Amazons Charity Foundation proudly celebrate the strength, resilience, and unwavering dedication of women across our society. This year’s theme, “Accelerate Action,” reminds us that while women have made significant strides in various fields, gender equality remains a distant goal. At the current pace, achieving full parity could take more than a century. We must act now to break systemic barriers, challenge biases, and create opportunities for women and girls everywhere.

Beyond the fight for gender equality, our society is grappling with deepening moral and social crises, including ritual killings, internet fraud (commonly referred to as Yahoo activities), kidnapping, and other criminal acts among our youth. These alarming vices demand immediate action from women, especially mothers, educators, religious leaders, and community builders. Parenting must go beyond providing basic needs; we must be actively involved in our children's lives. It is not enough to know them—we must also know their friends, associations, and daily activities.

Women in academia, religious institutions, and professional organizations must prioritize mentorship and moral guidance. The values we instill today will shape the future of our communities. If we fail to act, we risk losing an entire generation to crime and immorality.

Let this day serve as a call to action. By accelerating our efforts, we can create a just, safe, and thriving world for all.

Ogodu Stakeholders Pay Appreciation Visit to Omala Lawmaker for Tremendous Development Work

A delegation of stakeholders from Ogodu district, led by HRH Chief Adejo Salifu, the Acting Onu Omaba of Ogodu, paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Umar Yahaya (Connect), member representing Omala constituency in the State House of Assembly. The purpose of the visit, according to the royal father, was to express gratitude for the lawmaker's significant development initiatives in Ogodu zone. SSAUTHRIAI Elects New Executives, Vows to Enhance Welfare

The Senior Staff Association of Universities, Teaching Hospitals, Research Institutes, and Allied Institutions (SSAUTHRIAI) held its Quadrennial/Delegate Conference at the Federal Teaching Hospital in Lokoja on October 16. The event saw the election of new executives to lead the association for the next four years. Comrade Inah Egu Ubi, the newly elected Chairman, pledged to take the union to the next level, particularly in improving members' welfare. During a courtesy visit to Chief Medical Director Dr. Alabi Olatunde, he commended the outgoing executives for their dedication to members' welfare.
