*FG Declares March 31 and April 1 Public Holidays for Eid-el-Fitr Celebration*



The Federal Government has announced that Monday, March 31, and Tuesday, April 1, 2025, will be public holidays to mark the Eid-el-Fitr celebration.¹ This declaration was made by the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, on behalf of the Federal Government.

Dr. Tunji-Ojo congratulated the Muslim Ummah on completing the Ramadan fast and urged them to embody virtues like self-discipline, compassion, and generosity. He emphasized the importance of love, forgiveness, and solidarity in building a harmonious society [1).

The Minister also called on Nigerians to pray for peace, stability, and prosperity during this festive period. He expressed hope that Eid-el-Fitr would inspire unity and cooperation across religious and ethnic lines.

Dr. Salihu Alhassan Aruwa, a renowned educator and former principal of several notable institutions, passed away early this morning the 15th of December,2024 after a prolonged illness. Born in 1940, Dr. Aruwa dedicated his life to shaping the minds of future generations, leaving an indelible mark on the education sector. Throughout his illustrious career, Dr. Aruwa served as Principal of Biraidu Community College Abocho, Idah Secondary Commercial College, and Federal Government College Ugwolawo.
