Federal Polytechnic Idah 38th Matriculation Ceremony: A Call to Excellence*



The Federal Polytechnic, Idah, has held its 38th Matriculation Ceremony, marking the formal admission of new students into the institution. The ceremony, which took place at the School of General and Administrative Studies (SOGAS) Lecture Theatre, was attended by dignitaries, parents, and guardians.

The Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr. Yahaya Baba Usman, welcomed the guests and congratulated the matriculating students on their successful admission. He assured them that they would not regret their choice of coming to the Federal Polytechnic, Idah.

Dr. Usman emphasized the importance of the matriculation ceremony, stating that it was a formal admission of new students into the institution. He encouraged the students to take their studies seriously and to shun cultism, examination malpractices, and other vices.

The Rector also announced that the Polytechnic had introduced three new programmes, namely Chemical Engineering, Agricultural Technology, and Banking and Finance. These programmes are awaiting resource inspection.

Dr. Usman commended the staff and students of the Polytechnic for their hard work and dedication. He encouraged them to continue striving for excellence.

The Rector also thanked the parents and guardians for their support and encouragement. He assured them that the Polytechnic would provide their children with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in life.

Dr. Usman announced that the Polytechnic had established a Career Centre to provide students with career guidance and counseling. He encouraged the students to make use of the centre.

The Rector also announced that the Polytechnic had banned any form of sign-out ceremony on campus. He warned that any student found violating this ban would face disciplinary action.

Dr. Usman emphasized the importance of discipline and hard work. He encouraged the students to be focused and determined to achieve their goals.

The Rector also commended the efforts of the Polytechnic's staff and students in promoting academic excellence. He encouraged them to continue striving for excellence.

Dr. Usman announced that the Polytechnic had partnered with several institutions to provide students with opportunities for internship and job placement.
