"Elevate the Discourse: Let's Focus on the Issues, Not Personal Attacks"
It's unfortunate that one urchin who goes by the name Michael Samuel Idoko's response to Hon. Ali Atabor's recent press briefing was laced with insults and personal attacks on the person of Hon Ali Atabor. As a self-proclaimed socialist, one would expect a more nuanced and intelligent rejoinder.
Instead of addressing the substance of Hon Atabor's statements, Idoko resorted to name-calling and emotional outbursts. His comparison of Hon Ali Atabor, a refined journalist, accomplished public servant and a gentle man to the core to a "bastard child" who disrespects his heritage is not only uncalled for but also reflects poorly on his own character.
Moreover, Idoko's suggestion that Atabor needs a "brain reset" via Electroconvulsive Therapy is a clear indication that he has lost focus on the issue at hand. The alleged 13.4 billion naira fraud is a serious matter that requires thoughtful discussion and analysis, not personal attacks and insults on Hon Ali Atabor whose opinion is different from the position of Austin Okai on the allegation.
It's worth noting that Austin Okai, the former PDP House of Representatives candidate, is currently facing the consequences of his actions, having appeared in court to defend his allegations. The onus of proof lies with him, and it's imperative that we allow the judicial process to run its course.
We urge Idoko and his co-travelers to elevate this discourse and engage in constructive dialogue, rather than resorting to personal attacks and insults on those who shared different views from that of his paymaster. The people of Kogi State deserve better.
Furthermore, it's essential to recognize that the allegations of fraud are not just about individuals, but about the welfare and development of Kogi State.
Let's focus on promoting constructive dialogue, critical thinking, and fact-based discussions. By doing so, we can work together to build a better future for Kogi State, rather than indulging in personal attacks and insults.
