*Concerned Idah Youths Condemn Allegedly Fraudulent NYCN Election*



Idah, Kogi State – March 26, 2025

The Concerned Youths of Idah, led by Mr. Solomon Adejoh, are calling on the general public, stakeholders, and the leadership of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) to disregard the recent election organized by Salisu Sani Ogwu. This election lacks transparency, legitimacy, and due process, and does not represent the will of the youth of Idah.

We condemn Salisu Sani Ogwu's actions, who has a history of betraying the All Progressives Congress (APC) and is now attempting to hijack the NYCN structure for personal interests. This is unacceptable and undermines the integrity of youth leadership in Kogi State.

As concerned youth, we stand for fairness, accountability, and due process. We urge the national leadership of NYCN and relevant authorities to intervene, nullify this election, and ensure a credible and democratic process is followed.

We call on all youth bodies, community leaders, and stakeholders to remain vigilant and reject any illegitimate leadership imposed through fraudulent means. We are committed to ensuring the youth of Idah are properly represented by individuals of integrity and competence.

Dr. Salihu Alhassan Aruwa, a renowned educator and former principal of several notable institutions, passed away early this morning the 15th of December,2024 after a prolonged illness.
