Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo's One-Year Anniversary Marked with Praise for Achievements*



 The one year anniversary  in office of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has been described as a worthwhile event with loads of achievements.

President General of Okun Development Association, Ambassador Akenson Rotimi stated this while reacting to the celebration through a phone call from Abuja.

Ambassador Rotimi who congratulated  Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo on the occasion said Kogi State has a lot to be happy about for having an humane and compassionate personalty as their leader.

He noted that the people are glad in aspect of good governance particularly in the aspect  of human capital development.

The President General said Okun nation both home and in diaspora are proud of the Governor, listing his achievements to include; prompt payment of salaries to all categories of workers, bursary awards, road constructions, free education policy among others.

He maintained that the Governor has brought to bare the leadership style envisaged by the nationalist and urged him to sustain the tempo.

The ex-envoy prayed for God's guidance and wisdom to enable him to keep doing the good job.

On the possibility of Okun extraction emerging as the Governor of Kogi State, Ambassador Rotimi said such idea is needed to strengthen the unity among diversified ethnic groups.

He urged leaders at all levels to follow the peculiarities of their society and work towards equity in the scheme of things saying the emergence of Okun man at the Luggard's House can be described as mission accomplished.
