The Omala Youths in Diaspora have commended the Executive Chairman of Omala Local Government, Hon. Mark Edibo Ameh, and his cabinet for organizing the Omala National Unity and Development Round Table Conference. They lauded the initiative as a well-structured platform for addressing pressing issues affecting Omala under the current administration.
The youth emphasized the positive impact of the program, noting that it brought together distinguished sons and daughters of Omala to deliberate on critical matters. This initiative, they said, stands as a remarkable symbol of unity and development, setting a precedent for similar engagements in the future.
They also highlighted areas for improvement to make subsequent editions of the program more impactful. Notably, they recommended a broader inclusion of non-political office holders, such as serving and retired staff of federal ministries, agencies, commissions, and parastatals with notable track records. They also suggested involving Omala indigenes who own reputable businesses both within and outside Nigeria, as their expertise and resources could significantly contribute to the development and unity of the community.
The youth expressed their desire for the program to be held annually, urging all Omala sons and daughters to embrace this initiative as a unifying effort toward the growth and prosperity of the land, echoing the slogan: "Omala must be great."
They extended their gratitude to the entire cabinet of the current administration, particularly the Chief of Staff to the Chairman, Hon. Emmanuel Ibrahim, for their efforts in ensuring the success of the event. Appreciation was also conveyed to the honorable elected officials, SSAs, SAs, businesspersons, and other stakeholders who attended the program, despite being unable to attend, supported the initiative in various ways.
