NIGERIA CRICKET FEDERATION (NCF) KOGI STATE WON NORTH CENTRAL ZONAL ELIMINATION NATIONAL WOMEN CHAMPIONSHIP

Kogi State has emerged victorious in the North Central Zonal Elimination National Women Championship, a testament to the state's commitment to sports development. The state's Sports Director, Mr. Obakachi Onipe, presented the Gold Medal to the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Aridaojo Monday Anyebe, in Lokoja.

The competition saw five states vying for the top spot, but Kogi State's dedication and hard work paid off. Mr. Obakachi Onipe attributed the state's success to the present administration's focus on sports development, led by Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and Hon. Aridaojo Monday Anyebe.

The Director of Sports assured the state government and the sports council of their continued dedication to sporting activities. He also advised the athletes to continue striving for excellence and winning more games.

The Head Coach of the team, Mr. Omolaiye Elisha, expressed loyalty and commitment to the growth of cricket in the state and commended Hon. Aridaojo Monday Anyebe for his support.

Hon. Aridaojo Monday Anyebe responded by stating that the present administration will continue to support all sporting programs in the state. He commended the athletes and the coach for their dedication and zeal, and praised Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for prioritizing sports and youth development in his agenda.

The victory is a significant milestone for Kogi State, demonstrating the effectiveness of the state's sports development programs. As the state continues to invest in sports infrastructure and training, it is likely that more successes will follow.

The Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Aridaojo Monday Anyebe, has pledged to continue working tirelessly to promote sports development in the state.
