Minister of defense arrives Zamfara on road, boosts military moral fighting terrorism.

As a deliberate effort to boosts the moral of military personnel fighting terrorism in the north, minister of state for defense, HE, Bello Matawalle dared militia, arrived Zamfara state on road.

The Minister, Bello Matawalle who praised Nigerian Army for tirelessly combating insecurity, terrorism, kidnapping in the northern region, rode through Funtua - Sokoto highway to showcase his concern for military personnel and Nigerians plying the road.

Matawalle said, " I am proud of the sacrifice our soldiers are making to protect our citizens. Their quick response and bravely have restored hope to communities previously under siege".

The statement further added," As his convoy approached Yankara, the border town between Zamfara and Katsina State, thousands of young men and women and APC supporters thronged the streets, singing praise songs in Hausa. Their chants, translating to gratitude for President Ahmed Bola Tinubu and Dr. Matawalle, celebrated the elimination of notorious bandit kingpins who had long terrorized the region".

"Dr. Matawalle is not just  a leader, he is a beacon of hope for a more secure Zamfara and Nigerian as a whole".

The statement added, " Along the route, the minister made multiple stopovers to sympathize with victims of previous security challenges, reaffirming his unwaivering commitment to the welfare of his constituencies". 

The Matawalle's home coming on today Sunday, was free of slightest harassment by security forces and thus, was part of his effort to fostering peace and security in once highly volatile state.
