ALGON partners Police to combat endemic rural insecurity.

Worried by the incessant, unabated  security threat across the country, especially in rural areas, the Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON), has expressed readiness to collaborate with Police Force Headquarters in championing multi- dimensional clampdown on agents of insecurity across the country.

In a high profile meeting attended by the leadership of both parties, led by DIG Dasuki Galadanchi and ALGON President, Engr. Bello Lawal Yandaki at the Force Intelligence Department Headquarters at Garki at the weekend, the parties were aligned on inclusive strategues for speedy action.

DIG Dasuki Galadanchi who represented the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has promised to ensure zero tolerance by optimizing and strategizing critical information and Intelligent gathering that had proved elusive prior to this partnership.

Acknowledging the far - reaching socioeconomic consequences of globally induced spiralling insecurity across the nation and mainly rural populace, the police and ALGON leadership have expressed readiness to jointly and speedily tackle the monsters henchforth.

The police authority is optimistic that the meeting has initiated positive steps towards enhancing internal security at the grassroots.

The newly elected ALGON President has vowed to make a difference by mobilizing the Council Chairmen in partnership with police, to strengthen security across the 774 Local Government and Council Areas in the country.
