*Federal Polytechnic Idah Receives Donation of Books Worth Over 45 Million Naira*
The Federal Polytechnic Idah has received a significant boost to its library with the donation of books worth over 45 million naira from Book Aid International and Book 2 Africa, both non-governmental organizations based in the United Kingdom.
Receiving the books, the Rector, Dr. Y.B. Usman represented by Associate Professor M.I. Yusuf, Deputy Rector Academics, expressed gratitude to the organizations for selecting the polytechnic as a beneficiary in North Central Nigeria. He noted that the donated books will enhance the institution's Central Library, enabling it to meet accreditation standards.
The polytechnic's librarian, Mr. Bitrus Bature, highlighted the benefits of the donation, stating that the books from Book Aid International will support the Federal Polytechnic Idah and its primary and secondary schools, while those from Book 2 Africa focus on management and business.
Present at the inspection of the books at the Central Library were the Deans of School of Business Studies, Environmental Studies, Technology, Engineering, and other senior staff of the Polytechnic Library.
This donation is a significant step towards promoting education and research in the region, and the polytechnic's management has urged other organizations to follow the lead of Book Aid International and Book 2 Africa.
