Ahmed Usman Odod has expressed his condolences to the families of victims who lost their lives in a recent boat accident.  A statement by the S.A  media to the Governor, Hon Ismaila Isah said the incident occurred when a boat conveying traders from Kogi State to the Katcha weekly market in Niger State capsized along the Dambo-Ebuchi sections of the River Niger. Governor Ododo, who visited the scene of the accident, described the incident as "sad and unfortunate." He noted that most of the victims were women, petty traders, and artisans who were engaged in legitimate business activities to earn a living and contribute to the state's economy. In a thirteen point rejoinder and statement issued by Chairman of the Authentic/ Genuine Allottees/ Owners of Plots of Land in Festac Town, phase 2 popularly called (6th avenue) ,  on Monday ,Mr Vitus Okpara on behalf of  the owners said the area in question is not in any court contention, therefore the Federal Housing Authority FHA has not committed any contempt of court.
