_VETERAN JOURNALIST, MATHIAS OMALLE, PASSES ON_




The management and staff of Newsnowexpress are mourning the loss of one of its major stakeholders, Elder Statesman, and former Vice President, Zone "D" of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Mr. Mathias Omale (JP).


Omale, an indigene of Ugwaka-Ollah in Igalamela Odolu Local Government Area of Kogi State, passed away yesterday, September 16, 2024, after a brief illness.


A seasoned journalist with 35 years of meritorious service, Omale retired from the Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation about nine years ago. He was renowned for his professionalism, leadership acumen, humility, and versatility as a media practitioner.


His contributions to the journalism profession and the development of the media industry in Kogi State will be deeply missed.


The burial arrangements for the late Mathias Omale will be announced in due course.
