*Niger Delta Group Alleges Conspiracy Against Mele Kyari, Calls for Investigation*

The Niger Delta Stakeholders Assembly (NDSA) has accused Oritsemeyan Eseyan and Umar Ajiya, management members of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL), of conspiring against Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) Mele Kyari.

In a statement, NDSA's President Akpoebi Owoleye-Ofori and Secretary Anetorufa Gabriel condemned Anaba Sara-Igbe's recent media attacks on Mele Kyari, labeling him a "meddlesome interloper" and "notorious gold digger."

NDSA alleged Sara-Igbe is sponsored by Eseyan and Ajiya to discredit Mele Kyari and create crisis in the Niger Delta.

The group criticized Sara-Igbe's claims about Warri and Port Harcourt Refineries, stating he displayed "crass ignorance" and "dished out arrant nonsense."

NDSA defended Mele Kyari's decision to shut down the refineries for routine maintenance, citing industry norms.

The group questioned Sara-Igbe's motives, accusing him of being a "dishonest individual" and "pathological liar."

NDSA expressed concern about Eseyan and Ajiya's alleged involvement, stating they are "behind the tension and panic" in NNPCL.

The group urged Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun to investigate Sara-Igbe's threats to instigate crisis in the Niger Delta.

NDSA passed a vote of confidence in Mele Kyari, praising his transformative initiatives and reforms in NNPCL.
