By James Sani.

Kogi state has made a strong showing at the ongoing 8th National Youth Games in Asaba, winning a total of three medals - one gold and two bronze. The latest additions to the medal tally came in the table tennis event, where Ize Sezau and Samuel Dada won bronze medals in the girls' singles and boys' singles categories, respectively.

Although they fell short of gold, defeating their Lagos and Oyo state counterparts in the semi-finals, coach Friday Abah praised their hard work and expressed hope for future victories.

Kogi State Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development, Hon. Monday A Anyebe, congratulated the duo on their achievement and urged other athletes to strive for excellence, expressing confidence that more medals would be won as the competition progresses.

This achievement showcases the talent and dedication of Kogi state's young athletes, and we look forward to seeing more success in the days to come.
