*"Kogi State Government Pledges Transparency and Accountability in Constituency Projects"*



Special Adviser to the Governor of Kogi State on Media, Hon. Ismaila Isa, has emphasized the importance of citizen engagement and feedback in the implementation of constituency projects. Speaking at a roundtable discussion in Lokoja, Isa stressed that the state government under Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo is committed to transparency and accountability in project execution.

Isa commended the organizers of the event, noting that promoting citizen engagement and ensuring ownership of projects is crucial. He highlighted the state government's efforts in instituting open governance, citing the establishment of a need assessment committee to engage with communities and identify their needs.

The Special Adviser emphasized that projects should be driven by community needs, not political considerations. He expressed optimism that the current administration's commitment to transparency and accountability will address concerns around project implementation and monitoring.

Isa also announced plans to commence a water project in Central Kogi, addressing a long-standing issue in the region. He assured that the government is working to address gaps in project execution and monitoring, ensuring value for money and citizen satisfaction.

The roundtable discussion aimed to promote dialogue and improve project implementation in Kogi State, aligning with the government's commitment to open governance and citizen engagement.
