_"Empowering the Next Generation: The Importance of Quality Education"_
A call to action has been made to governments and stakeholders to prioritize massive investment in the education sector to address the current challenges facing society. Veteran broadcast journalist, Mr. Sunday Ichaba, made this appeal during the graduation and prize-giving day celebration of Freedom Faith Secondary School in Lokoja.
Ichaba, who chaired the event, emphasized that delivering quality education is the most effective way to overcome poverty, illiteracy, and insecurity. He encouraged parents to continue investing in their children's education despite economic challenges, stressing that it is essential to spend on education to enable them to become productive citizens.
The outgoing Head Girl, Miss Destiny Ichaba, expressed gratitude to parents, teachers, and the school's proprietress for their support and pledged to be good ambassadors of the school. The Principal, Mr. James Achor, stated that the graduands have been equipped to compete favorably with their peers and handle challenges as they pursue higher education.
Bishop John Ibeun, the school's board chairman, urged the graduands to obey God's ordinances, demonstrate hard work, discipline, and self-reliance to become useful to themselves and society.
The event highlighted the importance of education in addressing societal challenges and the need for collective investment in the sector.
As the graduands move on to the next stage of their educational journey, it is essential to remember that the impact of quality education extends beyond the individual, benefiting families, communities, and society as a whole. By prioritizing education, we can empower the next generation to create positive change and build a brighter future for all.
