The Kogi State Chapter of the National Council of Muslim Youth Organisations (NACOMYO) has cautioned Muslim youth in the state against participating in the planned nationwide protest. In a statement issued in Lokoja, State Chairman Ustaz Sulaiman Dansoho advised youth to give the present administration more time to address the country's economic challenges. He urged citizens to explore alternative means to convey their grievances to the government, citing the outcomes of past demonstrations. Ustaz Dansoho acknowledged the current economic hardship as a test from Allah and called on governments to activate price control mechanisms to curb arbitrary food inflation. By Husseini Abubàkar. The plight of pensioners in Kogi State has reached a critical point, and it's imperative that Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo takes immediate action to address their suffering. These elder statesmen, who have dedicated  better parts of their productive  lives to serving the nation and state, are now struggling to irk out a living as a result of the harse economic realities coupled with non payment of their gratuities and meager monthly pensions they recieve. Despite the State Government efforts to establish a single Pension Commission, the system has failed to frontally address prompt and seamless payment of gratuities as envisaged, leaving many pensioners penurious for several years with some never having a taste from a Kobo of their gratuities untill death takes them.
